The Chambéry – Les Arcs 2000 route
The route follows the A43 and the Tarentaise valley to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, then the climb through Arc 1600, 1800 and 1950. Allow about 2 h 00 in normal conditions: on a changeover Saturday in January or February, the climb can take thirty to sixty minutes longer. We plan your departure around the time you need to arrive in the resort.
Arriving by train or plane
The nearest SNCF train station to the resort is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 15 km away. If you arrive at Chambéry–Challes-les-Eaux station or at Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport, give us your train or flight number and arrival time: we follow any delay and adjust the pick-up at no extra cost.
Price and winter conditions
As a guide, a transfer from Chambéry to Les Arcs 2000 costs around €270 at the daytime rate and €395 at night, on Sundays and on public holidays. The exact amount depends on your pick-up address and the drop-off point in the resort.
Taxi fares in Savoie are capped by the prefecture. Between 1 November and 31 March, and on snow-covered roads, the higher rate applies to resort transfers from the nearest SNCF station. Your price is confirmed before departure.
Skis and luggage
Tell us about your skis, snowboards and suitcases when you book: it determines the vehicle we send. Beyond three suitcases per passenger, or for a bulky item, a supplement of €2 per item may apply.
